Horse Evaluations

If you have identified a horse you may wish to purchase and would like us to go and see it for you, please send us the vendor information and we will make an appointment.

Cost: €200, which includes multiple horses from the same vendor. This fee covers our time and fuel (additional mileage charges may apply—see our map/rates). We call this our “Go See” service.

We're faster and more cost-effective than anyone outside Ireland. If you can’t try the horse yourself—try by proxy with us.

Sourcing

To engage us in sourcing a horse for you, we require a deposit of €200*, refundable against any successful purchase through us. Once we receive the deposit, we will begin looking for you based on your requirements. We will send over options for your selection; approved horses can be tried and evaluated as per our evaluation rates.

If you are coming to Ireland, we can put a trip together for you. It is our policy that we attend these yard visits with you. Fees as per our evaluations - €200/yard - this fee is capped at €500/day irrespective of how many yards we get to.

Please note: While you’re welcome to browse online, once you engage us to source horses on your behalf, we charge a 10% commission on the final purchase price of any horse bought through our service.

Vetting

We are happy to attend a vetting on your behalf - fees as per our Evaluation rates.

Livery

Livery is available at our own, purpose built facility. We are happy to take horses short, medium or long term after purchase. Please contact Daisy with your specific needs. €250/week.

Transport

If you need a horse moved domestically, we are happy to help. €1.50 per loaded mile. Minimum charge €65.

Daisy and Richard both went to view the ponies and I got honest feed back and was told what would suit my daughter out of the 3 of them. She also rode the freshly backed pony for me. It was the best decision I made to use the Trayfords. Two days after they viewed for me I bid and won the pony. Another 3 days later and he is settle in the UK. The turn around from Daisy first speaking to the seller to the pony being in his forever home with us was 1 week.
